“My job is pretty boring, I’m an office clerk.”
– Martha and the Muffins
Accurate, except the part about being an office clerk. I’m a policy analyst for the federal government. While my job is pretty boring, I do enjoy the people with whom I work.
I’ve had a love/hate relationship with my point and shoot camera for years, so I took the plunge and bought a Canon T3i Digital Rebel camera last December.
Of course, I ended up shooting in Auto or Program modes, feeling like I’d been totally ripped off because the pictures weren’t much better than those produced by my PowerShot. I’ve been taking a few photography classes and started this blog to write about what I’m learning, while I’m learning it.
While my pride wants to post the pictures that have worked, I actually learn more from the ones that don’t. “You mean I have to check the light meter every time I shoot?”. I’m planning to post the good, the bad, and the blurry.
There may be a few posts about cooking, gardening, and random stuff that I do for my children. After all, Halloween is just around the corner. Also, I have made futile attempts to get organized and keep the house clean, so I might mention a thing or two about that.
I live in Winnipeg, Canada with my husband, son and daughter.
